On June 1, 2013, we wound our way through the hills and green pastures of Floyds Knobs, Indiana as we made our way to St. Mary's of the Knobs Catholic Church. We came back to my hometown to see my dear friend, Elise, marry the love of her life, Steve.
Elise and I have been friends growing up through school, and continued as our paths have taken us to different colleges and various states. She was the Maid of Honor in my wedding, and I was honored when she asked us to document her special day as she married the man of her dreams.
Steve and Elise are so perfect for each other. They both work in higher education student services. One summer, they attended a conference in Chicago, met, and their lives have never been the same since. They are amazing people, and we are so glad that they get to navigate through life together.
The wedding was beautiful, complete with the Gerber Daisies that Elise loves. We were so worried that it would rain all day, but the sky parted and gave us a break that allowed us to grab a few pictures outside. Enjoy a few images from their day below.
Steve and Elise chose to do a first look where they see each other and spend some time together before the ceremony. We love first looks. Check out their faces. They were so excited!
Elise looked so beautiful. She loved her dress. She looked and felt like a Disney Princess! I love the picture below on the left. I think it really shows how happy she is, how much she loved her dress, her sweet blue shoes, and how excited she was to marry Steve!
I loved this idea! On each side of the aisle, they had pictures of each of them starting at the back with baby pictures and ending at the front with pictures of them together.
Elise and Steve wrote their own vows. It was obvious that they had put so much of their heart in each of their vows. I love this picture because it shows how emotional their vows were and how sweet Steve is to wipe Elise's tears.
They had a lot of fun details at their reception, including Yahtzee. How fun is that!
Oh man, Elise's Godfather's speech before their dance was so sweet! I don't think there was a dry eye in the room.
...and then there was Steve's dance with is mother. So sweet.
It was a wonderful day! We wish Steve and Elise all the happiness in the world!
