When Jen, Michel, and a group of friends went on a camping trip to the Ozarks last April, they began to see each other as more than friends. Sharing their love of travel, they ventured to San Francisco this past November. Golden Gate Park was a perfect place to set up a hammock that Michel had given Jen and he asked her to be his bride.
Instead of dreaming of the extravagant wedding she would have one day, Jen dreamed of the man she would marry. They share a love of camping and the outdoors, so they planned to say their vows in a intimate ceremony among close family along a trail at McCloud Nature Park. However, the weather had different plans for their day. The Harrington family generously offered the use of their gorgeous Windswept Farm as a rain location. Their beautifully restored Victorian farmhouse, plus the addition of a fantastic barn to their property, will be a full fledged wedding venue ready for the 2017 wedding season.
Michel and Jen were so gracious about the last minute changes to their day, but even though the location changed, their day was still filled with what matters most to them, their family and each other. Here are a few samples.
Michel surprised Jen with a sweet note written in a notebook they purchased together on their trip to San Francisco.
The first time a daddy sees his little girl in her wedding dress is always a sweet moment.
Jen got Michel a fantastic watch. Can you believe it made of wood?
